The PAFIS systems is for law enforcement and civil organizations
with fingerprint and palm print requirements of anywhere from
a few thousand to millions. PAFIS has one of the world’s
most accurate algorithms and provides flexible minimum minutiae
feature points, giving the user power to solve elusive crimes.
With over 20 years of field usage experience, PAFIS brings
a wealth of real-life experience and expertise unmatched in
the world.
With the understanding that one size doesn’t necessarily
fit all, PAFIS provides unparalleled flexibility in configuration
from small standalone and mobile setups to large enterprise
class national AFIS systems.
Our
products set the original standard for full grayscale images,
FBI-compliant image size, and 500 dpi resolution. The system
sets a brand new standard for handling varying image sizes
and resolutions for matching, storage, and retrieval of evidence
images. Because your evidence can be much larger than 1”
by 1” squares, the matching system captures, retrieves,
and displays images as large as a full palm latent without
cutting them up. It stores more than searchable fingerprints
and palm prints. You can enter mugshots, crime scene photos,
or any other image you need to build a complete case file.
And the system isn’t limited to 500 ppi like other AFIS
systems. It accepts images of 1,000 ppi or greater.
The biometric identification and fingerprint matching technology
is used worldwide for solving crimes, preventing fraud, and
enhancing security. Our system conforms to FBI and Interpol
implementations of the ANIS/NIST standard for the exchange
of fingerprint information. This standard governs the connection
of AFIS peripherals such as cardscan and livescan booking
stations as well as all communication between AFIS on a local,
national and international basis. It supports the capture
of all types of palmprint evidence to provide greater crime-solving
potential. Not just a stand-alone or add-on capability, the
system’s palmprint input, storage, display, and search
is fully integrated with the fingerprint system. Working with
case evidence is now greatly simplified, since you use the
same workstation and user interface to input everything from
a live-scanned tenprint record to a palm latent.

PAFIS Open Crimes Mobile Edition
The PAFIS Open Crimes Mobile Edition is an ideal configuration
for equipping police squad cars and highway patrol vehicles.
The system is very light and has a Live Scan system allowing
for suspect search against a small database of open crimes,
which can be distributed daily or even weekly on a USB flash
card to update the mobile systems. This system can also be
connected in real-time via wireless connectivity if the infrastructure
is available. Use of the USB Flash cards achieves the same
functionality without the huge cost in developing the wireless
infrastructure. This is a standalone system that can be installed
on a single desktop or laptop.
PAFIS Remote Station/Location Edition
The PAFIS Remote Station/Location Edition allows remote
locations or stations to perform the same Open Crimes search
functions and also perform new fingerprint acquisitions of
new registrants. The systems are also using a movable USB
device to move the newly scanned prints to the central office
and to get the latest Open Crimes data. This system can also
be connected in real-time via wireless connectivity if the
infrastructure is available. This is a standalone system that
can be installed on a single desktop or laptop.
PAFIS Regional System 50 /100
The PAFIS Regional System 50 or PAFIS Regional System 100
systems are the entry level AFIS systems for a regional or
national installation with databases that require less than
50,000 or 100,000 fingerprint records respectively. Configuration
of these systems can vary with speed and functional requirements.
These configurations are also ideal for regional centers in
disconnected national systems where data can be sent via movable
storage devices to the national repository. The database capacities
for these configurations can also be upgraded as needed.
PAFIS National/Enterprise Edition 500 / 1000 / Unlimited
The National/Enterprise Edition of the PAFIS System is distributed
on multiple server systems. This distributed architecture
allows the PAFIS System to be implemented in a wide range
of system configurations, from smaller database sizes to the
large mission critical enterprise-level applications. The
configuration is very flexible and scalable to meet each functional
performance requirement. Search throughput or fingerprint
acquisition throughput can be increased by increasing specific
process server for each function.
PAFIS Matcher Accelerator Modules (MAMs)
Using scalable Matcher Accelerator Modules (MAMs), matching
speed can be increased from as little as 15,000 searches per
sec to over 1,000,000 million searches per second. Smaller
databases can utilize less MAMs which can be added as the
database grows.

PropertyThree AFIS (PAFIS) Enterprise Edition 500
or 1000
The Enterprise Edition of PAFIS System is distributed on
multiple server systems. This distributed architecture allows
the PAFIS System to be applied in a wide range of system implementations,
from modest sizes to the largest enterprise-level applications.
There are three major components:
PAFIS Matcher Server An array of template creators and template
matchers that collectively handle the biometric tasks. PAFIS
System accommodates an unlimited number of demographic fields
that can be used as search filters and automatic fault tolerance
that ensures the continuous operation of the core. PAFIS search
engine software runs on Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or
2003 Server. It is typically hosted on servers with dual Intel®
Xeon processors, with 2GB to 4GB RAM.
PAFIS Application Server PAFIS System’s easy-to-use
web service software provides an XML-RPC interface to business
applications, plus web-based tools for PAFIS System operations.
Multiple PAFIS Application Servers can be deployed to support
higher search rates and to provide a redundant configuration.
PAFIS Application Server runs on Microsoft Windows 2000 or
2003 Server. It is typically hosted on servers with dual Intel®
Xeon processors, with 2GB RAM.
PAFIS Database Server An Oracle 9i Database that stores biometric
and demographic data for up to 100 million biometric identity
records on Microsoft Windows 2000 or 2003 Server. The Oracle
Real Application Clusters (RAC) feature is an option for non-stop
database operation. It is typically operated on a server with
dual or quad Intel® Xeon processors and 2GB to 4GB RAM.
